The Trouble With Pixies

Apparently some smart ass little sprite thought it would be a real gas to swipe my outline for the script I'm working on. I had it this morning while I was working on the script, but somewhere along the way from my back yard to inside, it was legal pad napped. I've searched high and low, but so far have not found it and no attempt at contact has been made by the paper nappers, even though I've had my cell phone on all afternoon.

Luckily, I've written all but one of the scenes that were on the outline, so not too much damage was done.

However, we do not negotiate with paper nappers of any sort, so be warned you pint-sized mother fuckers, I've got a size 13 shoe with your names written all over it.

Wrote 14 pages today on the script. Not as big of a creative flow as Monday, but the work is getting done. Hopefully will have the first draft completed in the next few weeks and we can get the ball rolling on this thing. Writing's in a transition period now, going from one section of the film to the next, so it's a bit tough. The characters have proved to be quite cooperative, so with any luck it'll be smooth sailing the rest of the way.

Got through 20 pages of a screenplay I'm working on. May not sound like much, but trust me, when you're staring at a blank page it is no small task. Needless to say, the creative juices are spent.

Then I spent the rest of the afternoon annoying Jason by looking over his shoulder as he read the 50 odd pages I've written so far, asking with every snicker what part he was laughing at. What can I say, I need some sort of gratification at a job well done.

This was followed by a long production meeting discussing our next two projects. One of these days we're going to make good on our promise to film these meetings and put them on the DVD. Until then, you'll just have to take my word that it was a very productive meeting.

We'll have more information on the two projects when they're a little more finalized than they are right now; both are still in the writing stages, so nothing definite is set yet.

Later dudes,
Derek

Random Thought Number 1,165

What's the deal with putting peanuts in coke? What's the payoff? Is it supposed to be the nut,

or the entire shell?

Are they supposed to be dry roasted or boiled?

Salted or inked?

Yesterday I happened to have some coke and dry roasted peanuts, so I thought I'd try it out. All I ended up with was some odd tasting coke and soggy nuts.

Apparently I am country,

but not cool.
